How do I get my photograph to you?
You can email or snail mail a photograph to us.

If you are posting your photograph to us, you will receive all the required information (after you have contacted us) in an email, with details about when your image will be ready, as well as a payment reciept.

If you are emailing us an image, please email it to contact@fixurpics.co.uk Most email companys will allow attachments of up to 10MB, which can take a while to send depending on your connection, so please be patient.

We shall email you upon reciept of your photographs to let you know they arrived successfully.

We recommend that when posting, to send your photographs by recorded delivery as we cannot be held responsible for the posts mistakes at missing mail.

What do I get for my price?
Here at FixUrPics.co.uk, we shall supply you with a CD of your new restored photograph so that you are able to keep a digital version. On the disc will also be a digital copy of your original image.
You will also receive a standard 5x7 print. If you require another size, please email and let us know.

How do I pay?
Payment is paypal preferred. It is ok if you don't hold a paypal account, you can still pay with your debit/credit card. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque, either by posting payment with your order or posting payment once your order is done.

Please note that orders will not be sent out until payment has been received/cheques cleared.

I don’t know which category my photograph fits into; can you give me a quote?
Of course we can. If it is a digital image then email it to contact@fixurpics.co.uk with all your details and what you would like and we shall email you back with quote.

If your photograph is a hard copy, you can take a picture of it and send us the picture so we are able to see its condition and also include your requirements.

What happens to my photograph?
If you have posted your photograph personally to us, by recorded delivery, then you should have received an email to confirm this. Once you photograph has been restored we shall email to let you know that you photograph is ready to be sent back out to you and that we require payment before we can.

We do not edit the original photograph. We work on a copy so that the original remains in its original state.


We will not keep any photographs. All originals will be returned to their owners.

Do you work with colour, black & white, sepia photographs?
Yes. We work with all photographs regardless of colour and size.

If I send in my old photograph will I get it back?
Yes. We have no need to keep the originals, everything you send to us will be sent back with your order.

Will my original photograph be safe?
Yes. We can guarantee you will receive your original photograph in the same condition you sent it to us. We do not edit the original.

How long before I get my photograph back?
Here at FixUrPics.co.uk we have a quick turnaround time. Sometimes images can be done the same day as received. The max wait would be a week including receiving the order and posting it back out.

Alternatively, you can receive the final image by email whilsts waiting for the postman. Giving you the option to create your own additional copies.

What are the postage costs?
Automatically all orders are free posting by first class recorded delivery and the tracking number emailed. You can, however request next day delivery which is an additional £3 (three pounds). UK only.

If it is an overseas order, postage will be in your quote.

Do you only work with photographs?
No. We also provide prints from negatives and slides. As well as converting video to dvd.

Can you enlarge photographs?
We can enlarge photographs. For this process a 5 x 7 print is the most common end result. Please view our scanning tips if you are emailing an photograph instead of snail mailing.

Can you print from a negative?
Yes, we can provide prints from a negative. 5 x 7 will be the standard print size you will receive and prices start from £5 per picture. If your negative has more than one photograph please visit our pricing page.

Can you print from slides?
Yes, we can provide prints from a slide. 5 x 7 will be the standard print size you will receive and prices start from £5 per slide. additional slides will be £1.50.

Can you make a photograph more focused?
This process depends upon the photograph itself. We cannot un-blur a photograph to make it appear clearer. Once a photograph is blurred, there is no reverse process.

Can you replace missing parts of a photograph?
Yes. We can fix up tears, creases and lines and any other defects that affect a photograph. Sometimes defects go through faces and this can take a bit longer to restore.

However, is a face is completely missing sometimes this can be impossible to repair, unless there is a similar photograph with the face intact.

Can I send in my own scan?
You can, but it needs to be high quality, at least 300dpi. Here at FixUrPics we use an Epson 4490 Photo Scanner which guarantees the highest quality possible. For old photographs we would prefer to receive the original.

Will my photograph be used for anything?
No. Your photograph is yours and will not be used without your consent. Sometimes we may ask if we can use your photograph on our gallery to showcase our latest works.
